No Greater Love Ministries
Our Story
No Greater Love Ministry (NGLM) is rooted in the belief that love is best shown through action, compassion, and presence in our community. Each of our programs is designed to meet people where they are, offering hope, dignity, and a reminder that God’s love is present in everyday moments. The programs and services we offer are:
Girls Gone Fishing
Grew out of a way to use the fishing equipment my husband had acquired. The concept was a gathering of bringing women who wanted to fish, learn to fish or just hang out and enjoy each other. This group went from day trips to overnight and out of town fishing trips.
NGLM Free the Girls
Old bras are giving women and children sold into sexual slavery new life. It’s having a charity called “Free the Girls,” and that’s exactly what it’s doing. A single bra donated provides a woman in Africa half a day’s wages.
Super Bowl Fish Fry
Became a yearly gathering than more than 50 women of all ages coming together and bring a favorite dish to compliment all the fish the had been caught and preserved.
Community Counseling
Friends University/Sacred Council in partnership with D AVE’S Place in 2023 will celebrate 10 years in serving through DPCIC. The family living counseling program provides therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families in the Greater Kansas City Area.
Good Friday Laundromat
In previous years, On Good Friday, we spent the day at selected laundry mats to surprise customers and cover the cost of their laundry. To help cover the cost one laundry mat volunteered to open the dryers so that would be free allowing us to server more customers.
