D.A.V.E.'S Place
Our Story
D.A.V.E.'S (Divine Action for Victory & Everlasting Support) Place CIC is an outreach ministry, sponsored by Christian Fellowship Baptist Church (CFBC), with a vision of establishing centers in the north, east, south, and west. Our BIG Dream is to open and see the model adopted throughout Kansas City and eventually serve as a model for other neighborhoods.
Digital Equity Program
The aim to ensure that all people and communities have the skills, technology, and capacity needed to reap the full benefits of our digital economy.
SOUPER Saturday
Long-time Walnut Grove resident volunteers to cook soup monthly on Saturday morning. People can drop in and hand out for "fellowship".
Securing Financial Literacy
Financial Literacy is the ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing.
The Gathering Place
Many suburban communities have a “Club House” designed as a great place for gathering and creating community. DAVE’S Place is just that for this area in Southeast Kansas City.
Food Pantry
This is an extension of Christian Fellowship where a pantry was available weekly on Tuesdays. The extension at DAVE’S Place is held weekly on Thursdays. Because of a volunteer shortage, it closed during the Pandemic and just reopened on March 10, 2022.
